Virgin Mobile has confirmed it is investigating a 3G data issue that is preventing some users from accessing sites including Google, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter on their handsets.
"Early this morning we became aware that a few Virgin Mobile customers are experiencing issues trying to access certain search engines or applications on their handsets," a spokeswoman for the telco told iTnews.
"We are currently investigating the cause and are working to resolve these issues as soon as possible.
"We apologise to our members affected for any inconvenience this may have caused them."
The statement echoed that of a representative of the telco on the Whirlpool forums earlier today.
The telco's spokeswoman was unable to discuss the cause of the issue, nor an anticipated timeline for when it would be fixed.
